  1. BENCH.EXE is a FREEWARE 16 bit DOS CPU Benchmark program.

  3. Included with this package is a text file called RESULTS.TXT which is a
  4. compilation of benchmark results from all the PC's tested by myself and
  5. my associates. All results were obtained on PC's that were clean booted
  6. to real mode DOS by holding down the shift key on machines that had DOS
  7. or DOS/Windows 3.xx installed or by using Safe mode command prompt only 
  8. (press F8 at first boot) on machines with Windows 95/98 installed.

  13. This benchmark program was written for the comparison of CPU's only.

  15. This program will NOT give accurate results if it is run in a Windows
  16. or Windows 95/98 DOS box.
